[GCARC] What's Happening @ GCARC

All,

Our monthly General Membership Meeting is coming up on Wednesday, November
7, 2018 @ 1930 Hours at the Pfeiffer Community Center in Williamstown. Our
program will be a Skype meeting with Gordon West, WB6NOA. Gordo is a
HamNation co-host, license instructor, and author of his license study
guides. He is schedule to join us at 2000 Hours for about an hour. We will
have a brief business meeting between 1930 and 2000 hours and if need be,
another after Gordo's presentation.

 

During the business portions, members can submit any final nominations for
the 2019 officer elections. Mark WA2DIY will give an update on the Petty's
Island "DXpedition" and the Tech Saturday with Bob Heil. Also, updates on
the recent shed rebuilding project and fox hunt.

 

So come on out and make a good showing for Gordo. Show him we are a very
active Club and that our members support our Club.

 

Our Tech Saturday Forum will feature another HamNation co-host, Dr. Bob
Heil, K9EID. Bob is founder of Heil Sound and sound and radio engineer. The
presentation will take place @ 0900 Hours at our W2MMD Clubhouse.

 

Other things happening this week is the 10M Net on Tuesday night @ 2000
Hours and the rebooted 2M Net on Thursday night, also @ 2000 Hours.

 

The monthly VE Session will be @ 1900 Hours at the Franklinville Library. If
you know anyone who wants to take their Technician test or to upgrade, let
them know about this VE session.

 

Everyone is always welcome to all Club meetings, activities, and events.
Refreshments and snacks will be served.

 

On the website, I have added a page called "Current Website Updates". This
page will show any recent updates and additions listed by date and the web
page that was updated.

 

There are pictures on the website from this weekend's shed rebuilding
project (the shed is looking good, the siding is pre-painted and matches the
roof) and the fox hunt (a tough one this time, next time I am going to bring
a scooter like they have at Shop-Rite).
