Needing a source of assistance with Heathkit rigs; several challenges to solve.


HR-10 Amateur band receiver, NO AUDIO. Checked the manual p. 35, went down the steps 1 - 4, no hum produced. Tube v6 is lit but manual suggested suspect. No ohm meter indication for two resistors but those may require one end to be disconnected for a proper meter reading.


One of my HP-13 power supplies worked for 5 sec., slight hum, then dead.


HW - 101 transceiver same problem, no audio, and checked with three speakers. Worked fine for about an hour then audio faded off then none at all. P.147 of the manual 9 items to check, Got th top of the cabinet off but not the bottom. Can't see how the bottom comes off ! Looked over the audio board, pulled all the tubes and put them right back in. Would have to relearn how to do some of the other testing. Any suggestions appreciated.
