The Uniontown Amateur Radio Club – W3PIE – is excited to announce that we will be hosting the PA State ARRL Convention on Saturday, September 1, 2018. This is possibly the first time ever that this event has been held in the state. We are lining up excellent speakers from the ARRL, well-known area presenters, new equipment vendors, information tables, demonstrations, and of course, some of the tastiest hamfest food you will ever have. While we will have plenty of prizes and prize tickets available, we are continuing our tradition of not charging any admission fee. If you are a regular at our annual “Gabfest”, we look forward to seeing you again, at this upgraded event. If this will be your first time visiting us, we will do our best to show you why we’re considered by many to be the friendliest hamfest in the area. We will post incremental updates with additional details as we get closer to September. Also, we will be sending out email invitations. As this is something of a “big thing” for our Pennsylvania amateur radio community (and hams in neighboring states) please help us spread the word through your club’s meetings, nets, and newsletters.
