Dear fellow Club Members:
Since the last issue of Crosstalk we have made an addition to our Hamfest's
Forum schedule as a result of being the Southern New Jersey Section
Convention. I am sending this to all of the club members so that you have
the latest information. In addition, I want you to know that I am excited
about this year's program of speakers and hope that you will come out on
Sunday, September 16th, and support our Club in this important undertaking.
As I am sure that you know, our Hamfest is one of the biggest events in the
tri-state area with more than 500 attendees and over 70 tailgaters and
vendors. That means, in addition to all the customary activities such as an
array of large vendors, VEC testing, DXCC-VUCC-WAS card checking, fabulous
door prizes and the ham social event of the year, we are continuing with an
outstanding program addressing current trend setting topics of interest to
all. Here is the latest update:

operating RHR stations. He will demonstrate what it's like to make contacts
using an Elecraft K3/0 Mini control head and the time-proven web interface
that RHR provides, including useful features, such as Chat, Log, DX Spots,
Station and Calendar. Once he has gone over the basics, John will make a
several contacts -- possibly from Puerto Rico or Haiti.

Techniques and Applications, Field Portable Satellite Operations, and
general Q&A for the new satellite operators. This is an audience driven

Basics of Oscilloscope

This presentation will review the basic operation and control of
both analog and digital oscilloscopes. The similarities and differences, as
well as advantages and disadvantages of each will be discussed. The
vertical, horizontal and triggering controls will be reviewed to gain an
understanding of how each of these affects what is being displayed.
Oscilloscope probes, particularly 10x probes, and their proper use and
compensation will be covered. Please come with your questions, and learn
about this most useful tool!
