So, it's time for me to downsize the shack. My current shack is roughly
eight hundred cubic feet of space not including the antennas in the attic
(apparently they can stay for now). When the downsizing project is
complete, the functional portion of my radio operation will fit into a
Pelican case and a few other portable cases/containers. The items that I am
selling are items that simply do not fit into the new plan.
Items that I think may be of interest to someone in the club I will offer
here via the email reflector before listing them on QRZ, eBay or similar
sites.
The first to go is my Yaesu FT-897D transceiver. I purchased this new from
HRO sometime in 2010. Included in this sale is the Yaesu MH-31A8J
microphone, Yaesu FP-30 23 Amp Power Supply (100/200-240V), a Nifty FT-897D
Mini-Manual, the original owners manual, original boxes. Also included is a
new power connector (housing and pins) should you desire to make up a
custom power cable with Anderson Powerpole or other connectors in order to
connect to an alternative power source.
The FP-30 power supply mounts inside of the radio in the power source tray.
An external pigtail connects the power supply to the transceiver allowing
for the connection to an external power source such as an AGM battery by
simply disconnecting the pigtail and plugging in the external source
without having to remove the FP-30. The power source tray can also
accommodate one or two internal batteries for all-in-one portable
operation; however, the FP-30 must be removed to install the optional
battery(s).
Most of the information on this equipment is available on the Internet, so
I will not bother filling the email with factory specifications.
The FT-897D is a great rig and everything is in excellent condition. The
price is $900.
Best regards,
Harry
