FLDIGI is a open source computer program that runs on many platforms.
(Windows, Linux, Android) which when hook to your radio transceiver can
send and receive CW, RTTY and many digital modes. FLMSG and FLAMP are
two other programs used to send digital message used in Narrow Band
Emergency Messaging Software (NBEMS) which are the accepted method of
transferring digital information in a event of a Emergency ( Internet /
phone outage)
If you have a 2 meter FM radio that can talk to a repeater with offsets
and PL tone and a computer that has a sound card or Terminal node
controller (TNC) your good to go.
You would need to install the FLDIGI (open source / free) program for
the platform you are using.
If you or anyone else has question we can take it off line of the reflector.
