Fellow CAS'ers -

Several days ago, there was a major solar flare resulting in a Class Two-Three geomagnetic storm; as a result - displays of the Aurora Borealis were visible last night as far south as Richmond, and should even be better tonight here in Charlottesville as well, assuming it's not overcast. The best time to see them is between 11:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M., preferably from a dark place with little ambient light.
