K2I NJ is on 3820 LSB right now. If you need NJ go get 'em. He's not super busy, but he's 59 here.

73,
Tony

Subject: [GCARC] Happy July 4 weekend

Dear GCARC members, a few things going on you might be interested in

the 13 colonies stations are on the air this weekend, and for a few more
days this week. Trying to catch them on 40 meters around sunset has been
lots of fun for me so far. I heard club member Ed Champion representing NJ
last night. Talk about pile-ups! Way to go Ed! As described in our July
Crosstalk, a few other club members have volunteered their time for this
event too. Good luck!

Wednesday is our next club meeting, with a discussion on the proposal to
try Wires-X on our 440 System Fusion repeater, pictures from field day, and
more. There might be designs for a club jacket on display too. Our
hospitality chair tells me he will be out of town this evening, and asks
people to bring in things they might want to share with others.

Please plan on joining us at the Red Bank Battlefield Park, 100 Hessian
Ave, National ark, NJ from noon to 4pm on Saturday July 23 for our last
summer family picnic. If you've not been before, it is an interesting
historical location, right on the banks of the Delaware river, across from
the Philadelphia airport. We have the main pavilion rented. I'll have the
basic hot dogs, burgers, buns and items like paper plates, cups,
silverware, and napkins there. If you could bringing other picnic foods,
like chips, salads, deserts and other goodies to share that would be
great! The event is free to club members, their families, and guests, so I
hope you can come out.

Have a great 4th everyone,
see you Wednesday,

Jim
