[GCARC] Hamfest

Although the actual speakers can't be installed in the rain, the rest of the equipment can be put in place and the cables ran. The speakers can be located at the main pavilion and covered with trash bags 'til morning.  I can bag any cable connector that would be exposed so its not an issue other than me getting soaked in the process. As for the cost delta between the pavilions and the open spaces... The last forecast has the rain ending in the middle of the night. IF it is still raining at 6 am, my .02 would be to set the price for "sellers" at one rate, directing them to the pavilions. I would hope that there is record of the prepaid vendors. The difference in price can be worked out with them individually.

Looks like our string of good weather for the Hamfest has run out.
It was bound to happen sooner or later. I can't remember the last time
we had bad weather.
I believe it will be raining (possibly heavily) Saturday evening. Bring
rain gear.
We may not be able to mark out the tailgating spots or set up the speakers.
If we're lucky the rain will end before Sunday morning.
I was wondering, if it is still raining Sunday, should we let
"tailgaters" use a pavilion for shelter?
Last year there was plenty of unused pavilion space. They could back up
to a pavilion and use 10' of space.
The problem would be the pricing. Tailgaters wouldn't want to pay $10
for a pavilion space
and those that paid $10 for a pavilion space would complain if
tailgaters got a pavilion space for $7.
Just a thought.
