Please welcome our new Camden County Radio Officer

 

Hello Everyone,

I am pleased to announce that Tom Gorman, KE2ES, will succeed me as the
County Radio Officer for Camden County as well as the ARES Emergency
Coordinator. I have requested that Tom replace me due to my family
obligations that have ultimately limited my time to concentrate on
fulfilling the position of County Radio Officer. Tom is an excellent choice
with tons of training from FEMA in a variety of course study related to
Emergency Management as well as AUXCOM, COML and COMT which are all
Nationally Certified Positions in Homeland Security and FEMA. Tom is a extra
class licensed amateur radio operator who previously served as the
Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club president. He is a current member of
the Battleship NJ, SJRA, ARRL, to name a few. Please join me in
congratulating Tom and expressing best wishes for success. I will be
assisting Tom in transition. Effective immediately Tom will assume control
of our program and all ARES/RACES related questions shall be directed to
him.

For those who are scheduled for Net Control through the end of this month
please fill your positions as scheduled and please assist Tom with future
nets as you have done so faithfully for me. I will continue to act in an
advisory position until such time my services are no longer needed. I will
continue to maintain membership in our program and help it grow and move
forward in any way I can.

It has been my pleasure serving all of you and I have had tremendous success
thanks to all of you. I could not have been able to accomplish so much if it
weren't for all of you. I would like to thank my staff who have really made
me the person I am today but also to our previous County Radio Officer Al
Labinski for all his help and guidance through many of our storm situations.

I am confident Tom will leave our program much better than he has found it
and I believe with his experience and dedication he will in fact move it to
the next level, well beyond where I left it. Thanks again to all.
