Ray,

The extension is complete, but I did not install the door because I was
alone and needed a second pair of hands.

Frank Messick and I removed the door this morning and installed a 1 1/2" x 1
1/2" pine extension around the door in the morning.  I pulled some aluminum
stock from my attic and bent it to cover all exposed wood before the door
could be reinstalled.  I installed flashing above the door which is up about
an inch or so behind the vinyl siding and caulked it good to keep the bees
out.  

I am not available for a few days at least, so if someone wants to put the
door back, it should be pretty easy.  However, the right side door trim has
a screw embedded in it which must be removed before it can be reinstalled.
A drill should do it.  If not, I can put it up some time next week.
