Well, it took 4 hours to install all the codes for the site and to get
everything to work correctly. After this weekend the code that we all have
been using and the front door key will no longer be working. I will not put
code requests on the internet so you will either have to call my home phone
number or wait till the next club meeting to get your code. I am the only
one who knows how to install, correct, change & remove names and codes in
the system. So after this week you will have to use your personnel code.
When club members leave the club their codes will be removed forever, and
when we get new members the club has to get me their information so I can
establish a code for them in the alarm and camera system.
Tomorrow the six digit front door lock will be installed, so after that the
keys should be returned to Bill Price.
We tried to get 2 other 5or 6 digit door handle locks for the 2 interior
doors (VHF & HF ROOM DOORS) but they aren't in stock so I will have to get
them somewhere else and install them before field day.
Dennis Sandole K2SE donated a 1.5 KW antenna tuner which Bill Price will
pick up next week and installed.
After that I met up with Bill Price at Home Depot in Mantua and purchased
the following for the VHF room wall:
3 pieces of sheetrock. 3 pieces of paneling. 2 rolls of insulation. Toilet
paper holder. Bathroom towel holder.
Sheetrock tape & muck. Screws. The sheetrock and paneling can be installed
on the outside of the VHF room wall
Including the insulation which should be stapled securely from the inside of
the VHF room.
Talking to Bill Price we discussed that two 110 VAC electric circuits have
to be fished and installed, one to the air conditioner which hasn't been
installed yet, and the other circuit will facilitate the VHF wall. We have
florescent ceiling lights which will be installed soon. We now have enough
coffee pots to drown a small herd of cattle.
Don't forget tomorrow that the back door floor has to be laid. There is a
kick plate for the front door that has to be installed and the front steps
have to be leveled.
When I opened up the trailer this morning a noticed a lot of grass was
tracked in, I'm assuming that took place at the Wednesday night board of
directors meeting, I might be wrong about that assumption. No matter what
the situation when you leave the site, run the vacuum cleaner! This is our
site and it is up to us to keep it clean. I hope this will be the last time
this situation comes up. By-the-way whoever cut the other portion of the
front grass thank you! As you all know
(those of you that come out to the work parties) there is still a portion of
the property that has to be filled in and leveled.
The last time this discussion with me and Jim Wright came about Jim told me
that Peach Country (the people who took the old trailer out) was supposed to
bring in the dirt and level it out. When is this to be done? I wouldn't want
to see anyone get hurt during field day or any other event at the site. Also
the telephone poles were never inspected and you were supposed to take care
of that situation and get back to the club members. We club members haven't
heard anything and those poles are not safe. Have we sent a letter to the 4H
and told them that they lied about the poles? If so what is their reply?
Another item: Who gave the 4H permission to park vehicles on our property
two weekends ago? The last information
that was given to us club members was that our lawyer Neil Sternstein sent
the 4H a detailed letter telling them that they weren't allowed to do that.
How did that happen? Was a deal cut with them?
By-the-way there are still a lot of nails and screws that I picked up today,
watch where you park.
Don't forget that the skirting is there and it has to be opened up and
installed.
That's it for me today, time to take my meds and relax for the rest of the
night.
73's to all, Ray W2RM Site Replacement Chairman
