  Field Day 2014 Schedule


Prior to Friday afternoon, band chairs should coordinate with the Field Day
chairmen and finalize positions where each station and the Boy Scouts will
set up in the field. Anyone interested in operating during field day is
welcome to make arrangements to do so by contacting the band chairmen
directly.

A "Get On The Air" station is planned to allow visitors, even unlicensed
visitors, a supervised opportunity to see what radio is all about.

Visitors welcomed, and encouraged! Invite a friend!


*Friday, June 27  ===========*
Stations that wish to begin early setup may do so after 2pm. Clubhouse
restroom facilities will be opened.

Boy Scouts arrive and set up for first of two night camp-out at our Field
Day site.


*Saturday, June 28=============*
Field Day goes live at 2pm.
Brief Clubhouse Grand Opening Ceremony planned for 7pm

*8:00am*   : On your own breakfast at the Harrison House
*9:00am*   : Stations continue setup after breakfast
*12:00pm* : Some sandwiches available for those setting up (Wayne). Main
generator start-up
*1: 00pm*   : Final safety checks of all stations (Field Day Chairmen)
Declaration of our operating class (e.g. 11A)
*2:00pm*   : Stations go live on the air! Visitor Welcome table set up.
Start of 24 hours continuous operation.
*4:00pm*    : Radio direction finding training/activity in clubhouse for
Scouts and interested club members, followed by planned on-foot hidden
transmitter "bunny hunt" (Jim)
*5:30pm*    : Early Dinner served only for on-air participants, visiting
dignitaries first (Wayne)
*6:00pm*    : Any remaining dinner available to all, while supplies last
*6:30pm*    : Meal clean-up, on-air activities continue
*7:00pm*    : Clubhouse Grand Opening ceremony/presentation (Jim,
Clubhouse)
*8:00pm*    : on-air activities continue
*(tba)*    : Amateur satellite contact attempt (Jeff KB2M, time to be
announced)


*Sunday, June 29  ============*
On-air activities continue from Saturday night, up to 2pm with a hard stop

*9:00am*     : Breakfast for on-air participants (Wayne) On-air activities
continue
*12:00pm*   : On your own lunch On-air activities continue
*2:00pm*     : Microphones down - hard stop. Field Day chairmen will ensure
all logs collected, and summary able to be ARRL submitted electronically.
Stations tear down Site clean-up.
*4:00pm* (approx) Clubhouse locked up End of Field Day, 2014
