Saturday, February 22, 2014 is the deadline for the March 2014 Crosstalk
newsletter.

Now that we are all snowed in today, this would be a perfect time to write
an article for the Crosstalk.

 

Tells us about your ham shack. What is your favorite radio or radio
manufacturer?

What is the favorite band you like to use, HF, VHF, UHF? Do you like to use
CW, AM, SSB?

Is digital your favorite mode?

 

What do think about the future of ham radio?

What do think about these Baofeng and Wouxun radios?

 

Tell us what you think about ham radio.

There is nothing wrong about having serious debate concerning the current
status of amateur radio. I have read many past Crosstalk articles where
members expressed some serious concerns about the future of amateur radio.

In an article in 1973, one member wrote that today's (1973) kids have so
many distractions that they won't have any time for ham radio.

Distractions! Distractions! What distractions? There weren't any personal
computers to speak of! No cell phones (at least the ones you could put in
your pocket)! No smartphones! No internet!

OMG, we lived in the dark ages, didn't we!

 

Anyway, send me your thoughts, aspirations, and opinions. Nothing political
please, we will save that for FOX and MSNBC!
