This stuff is a medium-thick charcoal-colored felt. One piece 2 X 3 feet, plus some smaller bits. It's left over from my last mobile install. The idea is to cut a mounting board (I use 3/4" pine from shelf stock) the right size, cover it with this material for a cleaner in-trunk appearance, then use the mobile brackets that come with your rig's body to mount the radio to the board. The fabric matches the material that most trunks are lined with.
You can get this stuff from the car stereo installation department of Best Buy. That's how I got this material. I think it's about $20 for one square yard. What I have here is 2/3 of a yard and it's free for the cost of shipping.
It doesn't weigh much but it takes up some space; the obvious shipping method is in a very large bubble envelope, which will ship via Priority Mail to anywhere in the US for under $6.00.
