Here's another non-radio item I'm going to give away or trash.

In 1990 I bought from Sears an RCA CC510 VHS Video Camcorder for
$1,100.00 plus tax.
Last time I used it, about 2000 (CE or AD) it worked fine but left
streaks on the tape. It needed
cleaning and I ran the tape cleaner cassette a few times and it improved
but still left some
streaks. It did serve my purpose.

Ten years later, it won't load a tape. The original battery is dead but
that's expected after not being used
or charged for ten or 15 years. And the flimsy microphone cover
disintegrated; also not a surprise.

If anyone is interested in playing with this thing, it's free for
shipping. I don't have a clue what shipping will cost but it shouldn't
exceed $20.00 for UPS or USPS. But I won't know until I try to ship it -
let me know if there is a maximum.

This recorder look very nice and has the original owner's manual, 110V
power adapter, cable, and light. I can't attach a photo because it gets
returned as s p a m. But I'll be glad to email a photo or answer any
questions if anyone is interested. It probably was used for recording 50
hours (MARAC CH conventions and family holidays) or so over the first
five or six years I owned it; then it was stored in the closet until
about 2000. Then it was returned to the closet.

If you want a working model, please buy a new one. But if you have a
"thing" for the old stuff and are capable of repairs, this should be a
good project. I don't think there is anything seriously wrong with it,
but I lost interest in video recording and never bought another.
