Richard,
I thought that the moderator might have answered up by now but didn't see it.
When you subscribed to the list, you were sent an email containing the
information you're looking for. Around the first of every month, you will get an
email listing all of the lists on QTH.net that you are subscribed to, along with
the User ID and Password applicable to each. The default User ID is the
email address you subscribed to the list under. I never looked but I don't think
you have any choice about that. And if you should happen to change your email
address, you can't so far as I know change it on QTH.Net. The SOP is to
subscribe to the list under the new address. And then go and unsubscribe the old
address.
If you can't remember the password you used, I guess you'll just have to wait
until the first of February. However, the only time I can think of when you
ever actually need it is to get in and do a few admin type things. Like
changing password, setting delivery mode (Immediate, Digest, Suspend, etc.),
unsubscribing, etc.
