[FPARC] MINUTES OF APRIL MEETING

                 FORT PIERCE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB - MINUTES - 4/11/2012
 
      The regular monthly meeting of the Fort Pierce Amateur Radio Club was chaired by President, Kevin Walker, W4KKW. Attendance was 22 with a Skywarn Training presentation by Scott Spratt of the National Weather Service in Melbourne. Other Guests were Ron and Judy Tagg from Martin County and Cheryl Lenartiene, N9SRO. Kevin gave an update on Pete as he was in the Hospital. 
 
      MINUTES: There were no minutes as Secretary Pete, KD4SPW, was not at the meeting. 
 
      TREASURY: Approved by group from reading. Capt Bob announced that our General fund received a $507 dollar increase due to the tower and equipment sale for SK Ed in Lakewood Park. Ed's brother made a donation to the club. Carl also mentioned that we are looking at a new insurance provider through ARRL and that some Pay Pal transfers are still awaiting transfer.
 
      President Kevin, W4KKW, mentioned that D-Star was up and running and thanked Steve and Greg for all their hard work. The Club had to get DSL for the repeater and got a vote from the club to approve the $40 a month cost. Harry motioned, Jack seconded, the club members in attendance approved. 
 
      Steve mentioned the upcoming March of Dimes walk coming up Saturday that Pete usually chairs. Discussed and promoted by Kevin, Steve, and Ray.
 
      Joe mentioned that he would be out for the next 8 weeks so the club meeting would have to move to a classroom on Campus.
 
      Kevin asked Joe to put D-Star info on the web
 
      Ron Tagg from Martin County mentioned upcoming S.E.T on May 2 on MCARES Repeater, 145.15. Steve promoted upcoming SLC ARES meeting.
