President Kevin Walker, W4KKW, questioned if it was appropriate to hold elections with just 15 members in attendance. Since it was well publicized to hold elections this meeting, we did so.

Kevin, W4KKW, mentioned Trent, N2WKL's plan to apply to the ARRL for grant money for his children's Amateur Radio cause. Steve, N4SGL, said that Port St. Lucie is going to send Trent's tower ordinance to their Planning and Zoning Committee.

FIELD DAY: Steve, N4SGL, said that the PSLARA voted at their November meeting to again hold a joint Field Day with the FPARC under an ARES banner, if we agree. Steve asked that we vote this meeting, so a committee that would be formed like last year, can get an early start on planning and picking a location. Steve said that if we join, he hopes again for a high traffic location. After a little discussion, the FPARC tabled more discussion and a vote until our January meeting.

Bob, KC0KAC, told us that Edgar (Ed) Farthing, KF4NUR, passed away recently.

Ed Hill, KD4BTG, asked about the status of D-STAR plans. There is no news about D-STAR. The D-STAR committee consists of Kevin, W4KKW, Ted, W4ZE, Carl, W7RCW, and Steve, N4SGL.
