      FORT PIERCE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB - MINUTES - 8/10/2011
 
      The regular monthly meeting of the Fort Pierce Amateur Radio Club was chaired by President, Kevin Walker, W4KKW. Attendance was 18. Visiting was Trent, N2WKL.
 
      MINUTES: The minutes of the July meeting were approved as distributed, after motion by Kurt, W4KFH, and seconded by Steve, N4SGL.
 
      TREASURY: Treasurer Carl, KF4KCI’s report was approved as distributed after motion by Harry, KJ4SRY, and seconded by Steve, N4SGL.
 
      This meeting was held in our Hamfest location, the IRSC KSU Student Union cafeteria. We had a short business meeting, followed by Hamfest preparations.
 
      Trent Davis, N2WKL, spoke about his efforts working with the city of Port St. Lucie to draft an ordinance related to amateur radio towers and antennas. Trent asked for support at the PSL city commission meetings at which the ordinance will be discussed. The PSL commission meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 7pm.
 
      Steve, N4SGL, will get a plaque made honoring Archie Hamm, AD3N, as a lifetime member, for his support of the club after Archie donated his repeaters to the club. 

 
      HAMFEST PRIZES: Qty 1 Yaesu FT-7900, qty 2 Chinese d/b HT, HRO gift certificate, ARRL repeater guides, qty 6 $25 gift certificates from Outback restaurant.
