                         FORT PIERCE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB - MINUTES -  11/10/2010
 
      The regular monthly meeting of the Fort Pierce Amateur Radio Club was chaired by Vice President, Keith Wood, W4RPE.  Attendance was 22. Visitors were David, K4DLF, Jeff, WA4AW, and Martha.
 
      MINUTES: The minutes of the October meeting were approved as distributed, after motion by John, W8RAT and seconded by Jack, K4JAK.
 
      TREASURY: Treasurer Carl, KF4KCI’s report was approved as distributed after motion by John, W8RAT and seconded by Harry, KJ4SRY.

      Rocky, KI4UUT, asked for a moment of silence for our late President, Art Lindell, W4ZEF.

       Carl, W7RCW, said that he has procured our IRS tax ID for banking purposes. He said that we did not have to incorporate.
 
      REPEATERS: Kevin, W4KKW, said that he needs a 120 volt, 4" muffin fan.
 
      Jeff Beals, WA4AW, ARRL South East Division Vice Director, spoke. He gave us some updates about Amateur Radio matters and said that he is running for the office he now holds. He also said that our club might consider filing as a Florida not-for-profit-corporation, for liability reasons. He said to check the website sunbiz.com. Jeff brought some door prizes also.
 
      David Fowler, K4DLF, our new ARRL section manager spoke and said to contact him about any section matters.
 
      CHRISTMAS SOCIAL: Carl, W7RCW, said that he and his wife Betty will again host our Christmas party at their home December 4, 2010. He said that he will need to know a head count and side dishes that will be brought. He asked for e-mails on the club list. Carl said we will again have what he calls a white elephant gift exchange, valued at no more than $10.
