Trent, N2WKL, told us that he is a member of the "Association of Fund-Raising Professionals". Through that association he learned of a local youth organization called “Save Our Children", run by Ken and Donna Mills. He would like to introduce Amateur Radio to these at-risk local children. Trent wants to hold licensing classes and then a test session. He is asking that FPARC donate funds to provide learning materials for the technician class. He also has contacts to provide radio equipment for their clubhouse. Trent said that the ARRL has grant money available, up to $2000, to clubs for educational materials and other items for such programs. Trent is asking the FPARC to allow him to apply for an ARRL grant in the name of the FPARC. Gig, WB4NOZ, made the motion. Joe, KD4BTD, seconded the motion and it passed.
Trent, N2WKL, said that he received a phone call from the Mayor of PSL about his proposed tower ordinance. She told him "it is on a front burner". Trent said that he would like club members to attend a future PSL City Council meeting to show support for his ordinance.
