[FPARC] MINUTES OF MARCH MEETING

            FORT PIERCE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB - MINUTES -  3/9/2011
 
      The regular monthly meeting of the Fort Pierce Amateur Radio Club was chaired by President, Kevin Walker, W4KKW.  Attendance was 22. Visitors were Scott, KT4PD and Ed, KJ4TPV.
 
      MINUTES: The minutes of the February meeting were approved as distributed, after motion by Jack, K4JAK, and seconded by Kurt, W4KFH.
 
      TREASURY: Treasurer Carl, KF4KCI’s report was approved as distributed after motion by Bob, KC0KAC, and seconded by Kurt, W4KFH.
   
      We met early, at 7 pm. because we had a Skywarn Training Session this meeting, preceded by a very short business meeting.
 
      Kurt, W4KFH, spoke to the group about having a combined FPARC and PSLARA Field Day this year at IRSC's Public Safety Training Complex, With Dr. Forage's okay. He said that he would like to use W4SLC for the Field Day call sign. After a very short discussion, we decided to table the idea until next meeting, at which time we would hold a vote.
 
      HAMFEST: Our Hamfest will take place this year on the 3rd Saturday of August instead of our usual 2nd. The date is Saturday, August 20, 2011. We will keep the admission and table prices the same as last year. Pete, KD4SPW, will have early flyers made in time for the Stuart Hamfest this March.
 
      The business part of the meeting closed at 7:18, followed by the Skywarn Training Session.
