      FORT PIERCE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB - MINUTES -  3/10/2010
 
      The regular monthly meeting of the Fort Pierce Amateur Radio Club was chaired by President, Art Lindell, W4ZEF.  Attendance was 25. Visitors were KJ4SRY, MARTHA, KJ4DMP, N4BKT, WD4KAV, KJ4LWZ, and KJ4SRZ.
 
      MINUTES and TREASURY: The minutes of the February meeting and Treasurer Carl, KF4KCI’s report were approved as distributed, after motion by Kurt, W4KFH, and seconded by Steve, N4SGL.
 
      President Art, W4ZEF, welcomed all the new members to the club.
      
      Art, W4ZEF, said that the business portion of tonight’s meeting will be short since Steve, N4SGL, has another DVD presentation.
 
      Bill Laakkonen, N4BKT, visited from the MCARA club to tell us about the upcoming Stuart Hamfest. Carl, KF4KCI, said that our club will have a setup in the tailgating area.
 
      FIELD DAY:  Art, W4ZEF, and Carl, KF4KCI, again met with officials from IRSC to discuss our club using the Public Training Safety Complex for Field Day. They got the ok. Art said that we will hold our May meeting at the Field Day location. Art asked for volunteers to be Field Day Co-Chairmen. John, W8RAT, and Pete, KD4SPW, agreed to be Co-Chairs.
 
      Art, W4ZEF, discussed that the club had voted to raise dues to $25 starting with 2011 dues to support our annual donation to IRSC’s WQCS radio station.
 
      HAMFEST: Art, W4ZEF, said that our Hamfest will again be held in IRSC’s KSU Student Union cafeteria, as the renovations are complete. The date is Saturday, August.14, 2010. He said that we will hold VE Testing and expects 2 rooms for forums. 
 
      CLUB SHIRTS AND HATS: We discussed the problem that we are having getting club shirts in the color Jade. We will likely have to select another color. Carl, KF4KCI, and Pete, KD4SPW, said that they will meet with our previous shirt supplier in hopes of a solution.
 
      Gig, WB4NOZ, told us that old club member and friend Tom Shedd, K4IWD, has become a silent key.
 
      Kurt, W4KFH, said that he has some ideas for club presentations.
 
      President Art, W4ZEF, requested that all members pay their dues and said that those unpaid members will be dropped from our roster and e-mail list.
 
      Mark, Timblin, W3LZK, spoke to the group and announced that he is running for ARRL South Florida Section Manager.
