Greetings all,
In preparation for Skywarn Recognition Day, there will be a work party this
Sunday beginning at 9AM
(see Derrick's email below) and volunteers are needed to help put the
antennas together so that the NWS personnel
Can place them on the existing NWS towers in Melbourne. Also some of the
equipment will be put in place in preparation for the event.
If you may have some free time on Sunday, Derrick could use the help. I
brought up the GAP Titan donated by GAP, the tower trailer and setup my
Titan this past Sunday. I will be unable to attend this coming Sunday due to
work commitments. Please email Derrick at derrick.weitlich at noaa.gov if you
can help out. We also need operators help on the evening of December 4th and
all day Saturday the 5th. For more information about Skywarn Recognition Day
go to www.tcwn.net and follow the links.
Let us know if you have any questions.
73 and thank you in advance for any assistance.
Regards,
Wayne Burkett Sr.

Hi Wayne,
We are planning to meet here at the NWS office at 9AM on Sunday,
November 29th to begin setting up the rest of the equipment. I will be
here at work during that time and will be able to assist and I think
Scott will be coming into work that day to help as well.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for spreading
the word and let me know of those that plan on coming up this next Sunday.
Derrick
