           FORT PIERCE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB - MINUTES -  7/9/2008

      The regular monthly meeting of the Fort Pierce Amateur Radio Club was
chaired by President, Art Lindell, W4ZEF.  Attendance was 16. All who
attended are members. This meeting was held at IRSC’s KSU cafeteria.

      MINUTES: The minutes of the June meeting were app roved as
distributed, after motion by Bob, KC0KAC, seconded by Rocky, KI4UUT.

      TREASURY: Treasurer Carl, KF4KCI was absent, but he left his report.

      President, Art, W4ZEF, began a discussion about Field Day. He said it
was a great event. Joe, KD4BTD, said the points tally is not yet complete.
Art said that we will need to have some Field Day antenna work days before
next year’s event.

      PACKET: Wayne, KA1VRF, gave an update about Packet Radio. He said that
AX-Mail is now running. He said he will have a Packet Demo at our Hamfest.
Art, W4ZEF, suggested that any member that is not too busy at that time,
during the Hamfest, should attend. Wayne told about an APRS live action
Webinar class with Bob Bruninga, WB4APR, which takes place at the same time
as our Tuesday night net.

      SHIRTS & HATS: Pete, KD4SPW, said that we have some extra shirts if
anyone needs one.

      PAYPAL: Kevin, W4KKW, said that PAYPAL soon should soo n be working.

      Art, W4ZEF, said that he was asked to discuss the club having one or
more club WEB domain names. It would cost about $9 per name.

      We discussed what 10 ft x 10 ft canopy to buy. Pete, KD4SPW, said that
we could get colored or personalized one. He said that he would check into
prices.

      HAMFEST:    The Business meeting closed at 20:45 hours and we
continued with HAMFEST discussions.
