Hi everyone,
 
We have two large hamfests in the state on the next two weekends. I
will be attending both and I hope to meet many of you at one of the
venues.
 
Our Section Emergency Coordinator and Affiliated Club Coordinator, Jeff
Beals WA4AW will also be at both hamfests. Other section officials
will be attending at least one of the hamfests.
 
Here's the tentative schedule for Miami Hamboree forums. If there are
no last-minute glitches plan on these times.
 
0930-1030 Emergency & Portable Gear
Hugh Connolly, AG4HC
Gold Coast District DEC
Hugh has put together a very portable station to take into the field.
Bring your questions and ideas to share with others to this forum.
 
1030-1200 SFDXA DX Forum
Wayne Mills, N7NG from ARRL HQ will speak about the DXCC program and
Logbook of the World. Charles Harpole, K4VUD will speak about the
Andaman DXpedition and amatuer communications after the Tsunami.
 
1200-1330 Lunch
No explanation needed here.
 
1330-1500 ARRL / SFL Section / ARES Forum

This is a Southeastern Division Convention and other Section Managers
may be in attendance - come and meet them.
 
1500-1600 Affiliated Club / Mentor Forum
Norm Fusaro, W3IZ, ARRL HQ
Norm will share ideas - yours and his and ideas others have shared with
him - about building clubs and mentoring new hams.
 
Orlando Hamcation is the Northern Florida Section Convention.

The forum listed as BEARS 1 is of interest to the SFL Section. This is
a mobile com unit from Brevard Emergency Amateur Radio Service and it
is making a debut at the hamfest.
