Subject: Hello! Operating Event - Something New!


Hello Everyone!

 

I would like to introduce myself to you. I am working with Alan Pitts,
W1AGP to add another fun element to the Hello operating event on Dec
29-30.  I have created and will be operating a real-time blog from W1AW
for the entire operating event time.  I am hoping to include stories and
photos from the event while it is happening from all three keystone
stations – and a few of the other bigger spots that are participating.  I
am also working on taking some video of us at W1AW that may be uploaded
to utube.com (that will depend on how everyone is behaving of course!!! 
With some of on schedule – it may be more like field day there!!)

 

Anyway, the blog should be going live in the next couple of days with an
introduction to the kick-off.  I would love for all of you to keep in
touch with me prior to and during the event with photos and stories that
can be put on the blog.  I am hoping to share stories of what is taking
place – putting faces to our names and call-signs – and making us real
people for those that are interested in participating in this manner too.

 

As a new ham and a newer staffer here at the League, I’m very excited
about this event and working with all of you!  Feel free to write anytime
and I look forward to working you on the air – and on this project!!!
