December 6, 2006

Kevin and I put the Motorola repeater back in service at the
SLRA repeater site on 146.775 late this afternoon. Stan at Dave's
Communication gave us the same day turn around on the repairs to the
repeater. The duplexers tested out fine, but there where many issues with
the repeater that Stan fixed for us. Special thanks go to Stan and Dave's
Communications for their generous offer, donating time to service our
repeater for us. Basically the repeater was off frequency a bit on both the
transmit and receive side and the deviation was way out of whack plus a
couple of other issues that Stan repaired for us.

Now the bad news. The system is still not performing well and may be an
issue for the nets but we can take this on a day to day basis. A tower climb
is needed to repair the

Jumper problems at the antennas. Anybody feel like climbing:-)? Only 450'
feet straight up! Seriously we need to get the antennas fixed and hopefully
this will solve the interference issues. More on this will follow.

We will try the NASA link over the 146.775 Thursday night or when ever the
launch is,

The VOIPWX Talk training net on Saturday night and the 2 nets on Sunday
night. If

The system does not cooperate we will move activities over to the 147.345 Ft
Pierce ARC repeater if it is not in use for other purposes. Thank you the Ft
Pierce Club in advance for the use of their repeater.

If anyone has any questions or ideas, please let us know.
