[FPARC] N4QFY became a silent key on Wednesday

FYI,  Ron Morahan, N4QFY became a silent key on Wednesday.  Below is the obit.  Ron worked at WQCS for several years. 


Ronald B. Morahan, 
Fort Pierce 

Ronald B. Morahan, 69, died April 20, 2005. 

He was born in Saugus, Mass., and lived in Fort Pierce since 1970, coming from Fort Lauderdale. 

He served in the Marines and the Coast Guard during and after the Korean War. 

Before retirement, he was a merchandising broker in the food industry. 

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 40 and the Marine Corps League, all of Fort Pierce. 

He was a HAM radio operator and enjoyed camping and traveling. 

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Susan Morahan of Fort Pierce; sons, Kevin Morahan of Kenly, N.C., Patrick Morahan of Fort Pierce and Ronald B. Morahan Jr. of Clearwater; daughters, Kathleen Childs of Lakeside, Ariz., and Lorraine Ballard and Tina Overfelt, both of Port St. Lucie; sister, Brenda Vesy of Canfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. 

SERVICES: A service will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements are by Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
