[FPARC] march of dimes walk april 16th

Hi all, from Pete, KD4SPW.
 
      The March Of Dimes Walk-A-Thon is taking  place in 2 weeks, April 16th. 
The walk starts at 8:30 am., registration at 7:30  am. We should plant to be 
start by 7:30 am.Once again it will be held in St.  Lucie West. It will start 
and finish the same as last year at the college  campus. There should be need 
for all of the amateurs willing to participate. 
      We will use the EOC repeater, 147.240 and  expect to have the EOC CRV 
there again. We hope to have some APRS running, so  bring APRS gear if you have 
it and want to try it. I am hoping the M of D  can get me info early about 
their pick up vans as I would like to have hams in  the vans. Please consider if 
you can go portable mobile in a van. The type of  van used determines what 
gear is needed as the fiberglass hotel type vans and  the fiberglass hoods on 
the Ford Econoline vans makes it difficult to use mag  mount antennas. Also 
bicycle mobiles are used each year. 
      I'll mention the Walk on the Fort Pierce  Club net Tuesday and we 
should discuss the Walk on the monthly EOC net coming up  this Wednesday.

attend at the last minute if you can't make plans  in advance.
