 Averaging does help to some extent, but putting the bearings in bins, and displayingthe bin with the most hits, does a lot better. It doesn't take much memory, just 16 or32 bins for the direction. Experience shows that mobile Doppler bearings are aboutplus/minus 5 deg, so you don't gain anything over 36 bearings.   JimK N8PXW
