To all :

A final version of the ( free ) GoogleHunt DF display program has recently
been posted to my website, ( about a week ago ) and is now available (
publicly ) for download / install.

www.picodopp.com

( about half-way down the page )

GoogleHunt takes DF information ( manual or automatic input ) and "paints"
the DF bearing lines ( up to 100 total ) onto a satellite terrain image,
displayed in a GoogleEarth viewer window.

More info ( and operating instructions ) is available on the website...

-------------------------

GoogleHunt was announced here ( and elsewhere ) about 2 months ago, and an
early version was made available for "beta test". I have made a few changes
and improvements, ( nothing very major ) which are incorporated into the
version now on the website. Maybe the biggest change is that install
"wizard" program ( setup.exe ) now is fully automatic, so no manual
installation of files is required. ( I hope... ) The beta version worked
out quite well, a few folks had installation problems ( very few... ) that
required assistance from me... this new version should simplify the install
process even more. A few folks have actually employed it in vehicle hunts,
and it has performed ( very much ) as expected...

For those folks that have previously installed the beta version of
GoogleHunt, ( released in late December ) please DELETE the earlier version
COMPLETELY before installing the new version... that includes the file
folder "c:\GoogleHunt" and any "shortcuts", which will point to the older /
earlier version. The install "wizard" program ( setup.exe ) will create all
the necessary folders and files to run this new version. It will also create
an entry in the START / PROGRAMS menu, to run it. ( make your own shortcuts,
if you want them... )
