There will be a hidden transmitter hunt at SEAPAC
(the ARRL Northwest Division convention) again this
year. SEAPAC is held the first weekend in June in
Seaside, Oregon. You can find more information
about the convention at http://www.seapac.org

Our current plan is to have a seminar on transmitter
hunting Saturday morning at 11 AM, then hold the
hunt in the afternoon, starting at 1:00 or 1:30.
Participants may start the course at any time up
to 2:30 or so (still working on the details) and
we'll start picking up the transmitters around
3:30 pm. That should give everyone enough time
to finish the course, and still attend one of
the afternoon seminars if they are interested.

The course will be on foot through the streets
of Seaside. Transmitter frequency probably will
be 146.565 MHz with horizontal polarization.
There likely will be 3 to 5 synchronized
transmitters to find - I'll try to make sure
there are ones suitable for all levels of
experience. If there is interest I can also
put out one or more transmitters for 80m.

Minimum equipment required will be a directional
antenna, attenuator and HT. I'll have some
spare equipment available for loan (depending on
what is working at the time) for those who don't
have their own. Instruction and assistance with
equipment will also be available.

We might even have some prizes if I can get the
logistics handled - usually I'm too busy to
keep track of such things.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Good luck!
