Looks like an adaptation of falconry DF gear, 218.xxx MHz, yagi rcvr
ant., TINY xmtr, weighs 5 grams.

The mfr expects a good mkt in military operations and also commercial
dropzones using tandem jump rigs. Tandem jumpmasters deploy above 5000
ft AGL and a main canopy cut away at that altitude can drift a LONG way
if there are winds aloft. Regular jumpers deploy much lower, typically
2500 fy AGL. As I mentioned earlier I did a cutaway at about 2000 ft
over Rantoul Illinois last August after critical lines snapped on my
main chute during a hard opening. Despite having a clear view of where
the cutaway gear landed, it was swallowed by vegetation and remained
lost despite careful searching. This radio based system sure would have
helped me.

Any thoughts from the group? Will this system meet the very optimistic
performance claims asserted by the mfr?
