[FoxHunt] cw id on 146.565

  Long time, no activity! :-)  Today while scanning
the band I came across a
cw id on 146.565. I grabbed my tape measure beam and
found the strongest
signal to the west of me (Creston, Iowa). It turns out
it was an id'er for a
weather balloon flying over Omaha. Over 100 miles west
of me!

  In other news, I've got all the parts for my hidden
transmitter, I just need to get it put in a suitable
container, maybe one of my 50 caliber ammo cans.
Probably next spring I'll start hosting a hunt or two
every summer.
