The long tone on the transmitters used at the world ARDF championships
is a battery indicator. When that long tone is not heard any more, there
is about 15 minutes of life left in the batteries. I'm not sure, but I
*believe* that this is something Jiri built into his transmitters that
were used in the championships. I don't remember hearing that long tone
at any of the other world championship events.
