[FoxHunt] Melbourne Florida Hamfest and transmitter hunt.

For several years the Melbourne, FL hamfest featured a transmitter 
hunt at the close of activities on Saturday.. this is a two day 
event.  The hunts were dropped perhaps 6 or 7 years ago.  The hunts 
will be resumed this year.  This is a two day event (S. S. but 
Saturday will be the most active day.

The transmitter hunt will start at the hamfest site at 4:00 
PM.  Expect more than one transmitter and at least two hours of hunt 
time.  Final details are pending.

The club has posted "at least: $100 in prize money and hopes to have 
some goodies such as antennas and active attenuators as prizes and 
perhaps a trophy.  There is some discussion as to how to divide this 
money/goodies so that more hunters will receive something.

Expect more than one transmitter to hunt.  This levels the playing 
field so that getting caught on one red light does not kill your 
chance of winning.

Details have not been posted on their web site but likely will be 
there soon.  They have forwarded details to me and anyone interested 
may contact me directly and receive the latest information,  or look 
at their web site, www://pcars.org as I expect the site to be up dated soon.
