For the ARDFers, this is the notice I sent out to the Orienteers. Travel
Town is a bit steep and I'll be doing my best to keep the climb down to
a manageable level :).

Directions:
>From the 134 freeway ,one mile west of the 5 freeway, exit Forest Lawn
Dr. south. Turn left into park area towards Travel Town. While facing
entrance to Travel Town turn right (south) onto Griffith Park Zoo drive
and follow it straight past Mt. Hollywood drive (gated) on right and
then a quarry on the left. You will soon see the picnic grounds on your
right, if you see the driving range, you have gone too far. As always
watch for the 'O' sign

This is a fun place to bring friends who may not be that interested in
Orienteering. There are several easy to hike trails and good picnic
facilities. Also check out the Travel Town; it is well worth the time.

And as always, Volunteers are needed for set-up, registration,
start/finish, and especially control pick up when things are over.
Please note that doing control pickup can also help develop your
orienteering skills. If you can volunteer, please let me know!!!
