[FoxHunt] ARDF Cincinnati - ARDF gear and airport security?

Does anyone have recent experience with ARDF gear in checked luggage?
With some of the horror stories about scanner laws going around, I'm
wondering about the likelihood of hassles with typical tape measure beams,
sniffers, loops, and other electronic boxes that somehow resemble the
gear shown on "Mission Impossible".

I plan on bringing copies of my ham license and descriptions of ARDF and
typical equipment, but fear a real hassle if some airport security type
person sees home-brew electronic gear he doesn't recognize.

Suggestions?
