Yes there was :). What kind of information do you need? The transmitter
operates from a 9V battery, is about 3/4" x 1 1/4" in size, and puts out
from 10 mW to 50 mW. There are several configurations available and
range from $35.00 to $45.00 depending on quantity and what is needed. I
still have a few of the earlier versions available at $25.00 (they have
more noise, use an OTP PIC12C508, a ICS307 for the transmitter, and are
10 mW output.)

These were designed as a low cost transmitter/controller for transmitter
hunting/ARDF and have a CW output of MOE, MOI, MOS, MOH, or MO5 followed
by the callsign ID.

There is another version of the same transmitter circuitry but has a one
minute voice chip onboard. The cost is $85.00 and you can see more
information about it on Bob Simmons WB6EYV web site at
http://www.silcom.com/~pelican2/. Bob designed both transmitters, and
they work quite well. The voice (Squawkbox) transmitter is really pretty
slick, although the current draw at 50 mW output is around 85 mA. That
can make for a short lifespan for the 9V battery :).

Generally speaking, the output frequency is fixed at 146.565 MHz
although there are a few other frequecies that can be used ... the
frequency multipier inside the ICS525 chip creates a LOT of noise when
the multipliers get too large, and that noise is what limits the
available frequecies (and of course, the stock crystals available.)
