[FoxHunt] active atten

Mike, I would be interested in seeing what you came up with. I developed
one myself from a basic circuit off one of the sites on the web( Homing In
I think). I added a circuit that allows activation by a push button. The
attenuator will run for about 2 minutes then turn off automatically. It
seems every time I went to use the one I have, the power switch was
inadvertently turned on resulting in a dead battery. Our club is
considering a project to build this or a similar unit. One of our members
is doing a PC board layout to ease construction.

We held a workshop on Saturday and had 29 in attendance. It went great and
really piqued the interest of many hams not presently active in fox
hunting. I think many of the veterans learned a thing or two.
