All

As a CAP Member and Ham foxhunter I encourage the participation of each
group in the other's activities. Usually I don't get many takers. Our local
Ham FM foxhunts use Byon g's Byonics (See Byonics.com) boxes for non-continuos
transmissions, whereas the ELT is continuos. Seems many of the CAPer's either
aren't interested or don't have the equipment. The Ham's have the same problem
in reverse. I've demonstrated body shielding to both groups with simple HT's
and showed how I can use my homebrew 121.5/146/155 MHz Cardiods on the other
freqs effectively with a little care. In my book, the more folks who can look
for an ELT, or an errant or distressed Ham or other transmitter, the more lives
we'll save. Besides, It's FUN!
