Hi Bob,
I have used a four element Cubex quad for weekly hunts for the past 5 years.
It has very good gain and front to back ratio.
The antenna is mounted out the window of my caravan.
We have a large area that we hunt in and it is not unusually for me to drive
65 miles per hour on the highway with the quad hanging out the window.I have
replaced a few of the arrow knocks and wire elements after smashing into
trees, other than that it has withstood my weekly use and abuse very well.
Not many products that I would unconditionally endorse, but the Cubex quad is
one!
