Don't work too good with lots of transmitters in the area.
Or any strong one other than the one you are seeking. Our
hiders defeated (or at least put a dent in) these
attenuators and dopplers long ago. Also it is just too hard
to be switching back and forth between the weak signals and
the strong signals. You might go right by a weak transmitter
with the offset attenuator in.
Now a radio that will offset automatically at say 50 dB of
passive atten and then go on up to 120+dB, might be of use.
One control to manage the 0.5dB NF preamp, passive atten and
the active atten. A 16 position switch with pre+13 10dB
positions....spin that baby around...
Wait 'till you see what Tony has for a sniffer....
