[Fox_Tango] My new-used FT-101B just arrived!

My new-used FT-101B just arrived!

It was *very* poorly packed.  Dropped into a box of shredded
paper.  Needless to say the rig had settled at an angle with
the power transformer leading the way and the box was damaged.

So far all I can detect is a dented side and corner and a
slight receive intermittent on receive, have not yet tested
transmit.

Other classic BA shipping errors included a failure to wrap
the rig in plastic resulting in small shredded pieces of paper
needing to be plucked out with long needle nose pliers and paper
dust throughout.  The driver and final tubes were neither removed
and packed separately (preferred) or cushioned in-place with soft
paper or bubble wrap to minimize vibration damage, or to prevent
them shaking loose and breaking (that happened to my Drake TR3).

That guidance to other BA shippers aside ...

My question is this: Can anyone on the list tell me anything
about the specific production vintage based on the Serial Number
83L103061, please?
