Hi Everyone,
I have just picked up a clean looking FT-200 with power supply, it was sold
"for parts omnly", as the PO could not make it work.
As it turns out, the antenna relay is missing from the radio. The parts list
lists the relay as a 100V DC operated relay, however, looking through the
schematics, it is operated from 12V DC, from the rectified heater voltage. I
think the parts list is incorrect. There is a 12V DC NTE relay that fits the
socket, and has the four contacts. Is that a correct assumption that relays
with the same footprint have the same standard pin-out? Anyone has any comment
on replacing that realay?
The other question I have is that what is the difference between the FT-200 and
FT-250? I have the original manual, its title is FT-200, and the circuit
diagram has FT-200/FT-250 on it. Any good web-site withinformation on this
radio?
Thanks, Peter, VE3PEY
