Dont worry.  The guy complaining was just showing off.

Id call what you have  very stable. Era specs are: ( for an FT-901DM, which 
is the next step up rig)

Less than 300 hz from a cold start
Less than 100 hz per 30 minutes thereafter.

Besides, older rigs tend to drift more than the specs,  based on my 
experience.
