[Fox_Tango] No audio at powerup on USB/Tune, CW?

My FT-101E has given me a good scare about four times in the last couple months:
At powerup there is no audio in the USB, Tune, and CW modes, but it's OK in LSB
and AM. After a few minutes the audio comes to life and everything is OK. 

I would suspect PB-1184 except that USB/tune and CW have different oscillators,
and AM and CW share their osc, so it's probably not that. I'm looking for places
where USB and CW have circuitry in common. No obvious places so far. I don't
suspect the mode switch since twisting the mode switch has no effect - it's some
kind of thermal warmup problem. 

No much to do except wait for it to fail? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or
experiences with something like this ...
