exactly, that is why I will only change the tubes out for 6146's. Why bother
with other sweep tubes when you can make the rig better.

Why bother?  The 6LB6 is listed as a "Good" substitute, NOT an EXACT
substitute.  Use a 6JS6...The tube that the rig was designed around.

International Tubes sells tubes made in Japan that work quite well.  I have
original "Green Banded" tubes that kept as spares for my old FT1�1E.  I no
longer have the rig, but still have the tubes.  A great rig...The old 1�1
series.    Why mess with something good?
